Christmas Kitchen

I apologize for the absence this past month. It has been an intense year with many ups and downs. The day after Halloween my mother had a stroke. Thankfully she is doing amazingly well, and exceeding ALL the Dr's expectations. She will be returning home soon and the hubby and I are moving in a couple of weeks from Utah to Texas, where I can help her and be with family.

I wanted to share some Christmas joy and am really loving the retro saturated look of red, white and yellow/gold. Classic colors with cheeky graphic punches make for a fun holiday look. I'm especially in love with the Kate Spade telephone salt and pepper shakers!

Enjoy!

Ready For A Beach Vacation

Can I just say, "I'm ready for a BEACH VACATION!"

I want to dig my toes in the sand, feel the ocean breeze in my hair, and the sun on my skin. I want to laze about reading books, taking naps, and go shopping in cheap souvenir shops.

Inspired by this video! The retro summer looks are just to die for!

I want to channel a retro riviera vibe, with pretty sun dresses, soft cotton tops, swingy skirts, relaxed shorts, and cute printed swimwear. Swipe on some bronzer, add a lil red punch to my lips, and some pretty flowers to my hair. Have my limbs smell of coconut and salt water, as I snuggle with the hubby, sipping yummie fruit flavored drinks.

ENJOY!

Happy Valentine's Day! 3 Date Night Looks

Happy Valentine's Day!! I have personally always loved Valentine's Day, even when I was single. I love going to the store and seeing pink, purple, and red everywhere. Hearts and glitter reign supreme. It makes me happy. I put together a few Date Night looks to inspire you.

  1. Movie Night - Cute but still comfy and cozy, great for snuggling up with a cutie. Mixing hearts, lips, polka dots, sequins, leopard, red, black and white....all adding up to somthing fun and unique. Add a smokey eye, kissable lips, and soft wild curly hair.
  2. Night at the Museum - A fun colorful outfit that is sure to get you noticed. Wonderfully artsy and the comfy kicks ensure you can walk all over and keep on going. I love to mix stripes and floral and the wedge tennis shoes and biker jacket add just enough edge. Go for a bright pink lip, Bardot styled pigtails, and a glittery mani.
  3. At the Hop - I love the retro nature of this outfit. Totally girlie, fun, and the varsity jacket adds up the kitsch quotient. I see a night of sharing milk shakes and dancing to fun Pop Music, then greeting the sunrise swinging at a park. Go all the way with a perky twirled ponytail, major lashes, and a pouty red lip.
