I'm Intrigued: Angelina Jolie
Just read a FANTASTIC article about Angelina Jolie and her navigation the past 12 yrs through the public landscape of Hollywood. Definitely a must read! Check it out!
I have been intrigued and infatuated with her for many years, and this just keeps that awe going. She would be such an interesting person to witness and talk with.

My Beach Waves: How To
My Beach Waves
In the Summer I like to do Beach Waves to my hair to eek out a couple of days between washings. The texture is great for hiding greasy roots, and a lil dry shampoo goes a long way too!
First I prep my hair by sprinkling in dry shampoo, then spraying all over with hairspray. This really helps give the hair volume and texture and helps hold the waves.
Then I section the top half of my hair and clip it up. I wrap 1-2 inch sections of hair around the curling wand. (It takes some practice but you'll get the hang of it!) Hold for a few seconds, till hair is warm to the touch. Curl bottom half of hair then spray with hairspray. Let top section down and starting from front curl hair away from the face. Spray with more hairspray.
Finger comb and shake out hair. Spray Sea Salt throughout hair (Don't spray too heavily!) then tousle with fingers.

Movie Monday: Josie and the Pussycats
Today's Movie Monday is inspired by the 2001 movie Josie and the Pussycats. A modern twist on the classic comic, set in the heyday of glossy pop music, TRL, MTV and abundance of product placement. The late 90's and early 2000's were a colorful and sparkly time to be in the music scene.
We go on a romp with The Pussycats as they catapult to stardom. The clothes are fun. Tube tops, extra lowrise flared pants, glitter, platform shoes and sparkle abound. More was more in every aspect. I love the shaggy hair and cute cat ears (I actually had a pair of purple Josie and the Pussycats ears that I sported for a short time).
I remember going to see this movie in the theaters with my sister and just having so much fun. The soundtrack is actually really good and worth a listen. It is all original songs for the movie.
The early 2000's were a fun time in fashion and this movie certainly showcases that! Makes me wanna pile on the glitter and get flippy layers put in my hair! Enjoy the sweet ride that this movie is!
